I hadn’t heard anything about this film until I saw it on Changethethought™, but now it’s most definitely on my radar. From the trailer, it appears that Sam Rockwell has been mining energy on the Moon for three years, alone save for the eerily monotone presence of his HAL-esque robot companion, GERTY. The twist comes when an object appears on radar outside of his mining area – a creepy, broken down moon rover that contains his own dead body. Cue mind-fuck. See the trailer after the jump.
Ah Yeah! I saw that on Kitsune Noir the other day! It looks like it’s going to be awesome – and additionally Gerty uses emocons to express himself more fully, hilarious!
My sister saw this at Sundance and said it was fantastic. She also got to see Sam Rockwell IRL, so that’s an added bonus.
