Enter Sergey Maximishin a Russian born photographer who has a wonderful portfolio documenting post-soviet life in Russia, East Europe, and continental Asia, celebrating its massive diversity and rapid evolution.  His photos seem to act as studies in the absurd-frequently contrasting the somber with the silly, the hopeless with the ethereal.  He has a true gift for composition, snapping shots that seem to perfect to merely be incidental.  His website has many more examples of his work (thanks Sergy!), so I suggest you surf your little keister over there.

I love each of these five, but this one is just too much-a Moscow businessman with his family, on his ship no less.  Its like a pride of lions.
