YUMMYPANCAKES

Having a bachelors in Genetics/Developmental Biology apparently means you can totally kick ass in crochet. Okay, maybe not everyone, but for Denise Ferguson, it’s a truth. She is the mastermind behind YummyPancakes. I instantly fell in love with her adorable little crocheted toast with bacon arms and legs that was in the window of Fancy in downtown Seattle. Priced at only $35 for the homemade little breakfast treat I had to get it! But sadly Mr. Toastee McBacon was taken.

TIME TELLER
AUSTIN » 04.21.09 10:50PM

nixon_time_teller

Nixon has has grown out of its somewhat callow youth into something with a hint of class and a pinch of pinky-up. What was once a strictly surf and snow brand catering to the Brahs of the world is now a fairly respectable, fashion blog worthy company. Case in point–the Time Teller P. This tasty piece of minimalist wrist candy makes me want to jump into a Sandy Skoglund installation and beg someone to ask me what time it is.

Remember how jealous and bitchy Woody got when Buzz Lightyear showed up in Andy’s room? This serious backback via Nike SB is Woody’s sweet, sweet justification.

WHAT DID YOU DIG UP?

Alrighty, Record Store Day came and went and it was actually pretty good this year.  Lots of special edition Radiohead singles, Def Jam greatest hits, etc etc.  So, what did you get?  I’m sure a bunch of you added to your collection and lightened your wallet.

BJORG

BJORG_IntroVid

I have no idea where I saw it, or how I managed to get to her site, but I am sure happy I did. BJORG Jewellery has by far some of the coolest, most unique and unpredictable pieces I have ever seen in the world of jewelery. And if jewelery isn’t your thing, the photos and videos on their site are worth checking out. Bjorg released her first collection in 2004 from her home in Norway. Her style quickly took off and now her 18+ collections can be found in more than 20 different countries. I was so interested in seeing where I could buy her pieces, but there was no online shop *gasp*!

Check out the watches at Tokyoflash Japan! Each one tells time in a different, graphical, unconventional way. Sleek? Yes. Nerdy? Maybe. Flashy? Definitely, and they’re on sale! You can now pick up one of these gems for only 9,800 yen! I use mine to impress girls that like math.

I KNOW IT SMELLS BAD…

tauntaun

…but it’ll keep you warm.

If I could go back and time and be a child and have this sleeping bag, I’d be the happiest, nerdiest child ever. But no amount of bullying could take from me the quiet joy that only comes from being safely tucked into the steaming innards of a mutilated Tauntaun. Yes. The sleeping bag is lined with Tauntaun guts.

Complete and utter WIN.

SHITSHIRT

twitshirt

I know there are all sorts of feelings about Twitter. Some people love it…some people think it is by far the most pointless thing living on the internet. Do we really want to know what you are doing at every waking moment of the day? Do we want to know what you eat for every meal or snack throughout the day? (Well, that’s the only tweet I do like seeing). Do we want to know what you are PLANNING on DOING or EATING during the day? …Maybe. But do we wish we could have a tweet written on a shirt? Really?! Well, if so, then ShitShirt…I mean TwitShirt is for you.

RECORD STORE DAY
JOSH » 04.16.09 02:57PM

record-store-day

This Saturday, people with good taste everywhere will be participating in Record Store Day and heading to their local favorites to splurge on generous helping of music.  I’ll take any reason to buy records especially if I can also multi-task it to symbolically support independent media.  For shame if you don’t know your local establishment, but you can find out here.

WAD MAG

WAD_Cover

So I stumbled upon a pretty incredible magazine at Border’s a few weeks ago. I’m probably at Seattle’s downtown store once a week and this is the first time I had ever seen it. It’s called WAD and it’s a magazine out of France, about urban fashion and culture…you know the good stuff. The WAD I happened to pick up was their 10th anniversary issue (#39), the dictionary issue. Clothing, shoes, hats, toys, cars, books, magazines, shops, trade shows, websites, personalities, concepts, brands, all arranged in alphabetical order on 434 pages! 18 of the 26 letters

I AM A CONSUMER WHORE
WILL » 04.15.09 11:31PM

shirtluv

I am a consumer whore. The number of bookmarks I check specifically looking to spend money on shit I don’t need is overwhelming.

Shirtluv is just one of those bookmarks. It’s not just shirts, but it is all pretty awesome. You can’t actually buy anything, but you can follow links to independent clothing labels, DIY shops, and more. There’s a recent post linking to Deckpeck, a site that allows you to create your own skateboards. Maybe now I can have those limited edition naked european supermodel skateboards I always wanted.

A boy can dream, right?

AIR YEEZY: FISHSTICK EDITION

gayfishyeezy-570x423

Even heterosexual fish can appreciate this one-off Yeezy colorway. Alledgedly, you can order them here (size 12 only). They’ll set you back $1500, which is a generous $0 less than the other Yeezy colorways on eBay. Eat that with your mouth.
