
Take Terry Richardson, smash him down a few inches, lengthen his hair 20-30 inches, and somehow make him Japanese, and you’ll have a man that goes by the name of Keiichi Nitta. Nitta moved to New York to work as Terry Richardson’s assistant, and after 10 years learning everything he could in NYC, he moved back home to open his own studio based in Tokyo. As much as I love Terry’s rough and raw photography, Nitta is moving out from behind Terry’s lenses and developing his own expression and style, focusing more on color and fun. Maybe it’s a little Tokyo influence.
